Plateau Portraits has created Senior portraits locally since 1989.
We are conveniently located on the Sammamish Plateau (by appointment).

Portrait Sessions -

• We offer a "complimentary Senior portrait session". That includes outdoor portraits at your home or local parks. What's really cool is the complimentary session is available with a minimum package purchase....
• Portrait sessions are relaxed and unhurried.
• Determining and creating your portrait package prior to the session determines how many portrait images are created of you and how many outfits you should wear.
• A complimentary family portrait session during your high school senior year is included.

Additional benefits -

• Complimentary retouching is included, for normal acne blemishes. There is an additional fee for extensive retouching.
• Complimentary yearbook image retouched and delivered to your high school.
• We offer the best Senior portrait prices.
• There is no additional fee for requesting black & white portraits as part of your Senior portrait package.
• Receive a $30 credit for each senior referral.
• Makeup services are available.
• We offer two types of digital slide shows. Slide shows can include still images and we offer video shows. Both types of digital shows include music.

Family, Children & Newborn Portrait Fundraiser

Portrait Fundraiser

Fundraiser information:

You can have a beautiful family, or children's portrait and your $50 session fee goes directly to your PTSA fundraiser.

Our normal outdoor family portrait session fee is $150. For your auction fundraiser we’re offering a 66% savings on our session fee. The portrait session fee is just $50. Contact your fundraiser coordinator asap.

The $50 session fee is a donation to your auction fundraiser and the session fee check will be payable to your fundraiser.

Your portrait session can be created anytime through the summer. We’re offer very reasonable a-la-carte-pricing, with a minimum $100 purchase. Please email for a PDF price brochure. Your portrait choices can consist of both family portraits and portrait selections of your children.

Now that you’re all set on creating family portraits, where would you like to go? Outdoor portrait opportunities on the Eastside are unlimited. I have some great portrait locations at local parks, in your back yard, in your formal living room, there are so many choices. The ideas and opportunities are endless. You can include family lifestyle elements like your boat, classic car, high school sports attire, horses, pets and more.

During your family portrait session we can also create separate portraits of your kids. If you have a graduating high school senior we can take several portraits for your graduation announcements. Or, if you have a college grad, kindergarten grad, newborn, or kids of any age, we’ll take some creative portraits of them too.

Clothing tips:

Wear long sleeved garments and long pants. Solid medium tones look the best. Choose earth tone shades of green, brown, khaki, grey and blue. Women can wear more feminine tones like baby blue, magenta, pink, etc. Do not wear too dark or too light colors. Solid colors are always the best choice. Avoid patterns such as stripes, plaids, florals, prints, logos and bright colors.

The goal of any fine portrait is to direct the viewer’s attention to the subjects faces in the portrait. Avoid white shirts and shirts with a white collar, as the white next to the face pulls attention away from the face. Remember, when viewing an image, the eye is drawn to the lightest area of that image, which emphasizes it. Long sleeves are essential, as bare arms call attention to themselves and will overpower the face.

Shoes and socks or hose should match the tone of the outfit, no white shoes or socks.

Avoid wide or particularly deep V-neck garments, turtle necks, as well as bulky cowl neck sweaters that completely hide the neck.

Women being photographed in full length should wear pants, long skirts, or dark stockings in order to keep the eye from being directed toward the legs and away from the face. Men should have their hair cut about one week before the portrait session.

We can create an exciting video with you playing sports, music, equestrian, with pets, skate boarding or any other activity. Plan a script with us how to tell your story. This is a super fun and unique option to capture your senior in a video during their senior year.

Holiday Family Reunion Portraits

Plateau Portraits has a very special family portrait offer for you just in time for the holidays….

We are available for family portraits in your home, your yard or other scenic Northwest outdoor location.

We are also available to create family portraits at your holiday gathering in December and can create a variety of portrait groupings. Not available on 12/24 & 12/25.

Take advantage of no session fee and save $150, with a minimum portrait purchase.

There are a limited number of weekend session dates available. Dates book quickly especially around the holidays.

Please call asap to reserve your session date, discuss the portrait location, the best time of day for portraits and the clothing choices.

For each family portrait referral to your friends you'll receive a $50 credit towards more portrait prints for you.

In addition we offer paintings of our portraiture. We also encourage you to include your family pet, either in a family portrait or a separate pet portrait.

Equestrian Portraiture

Plateau Portraits specializes in custom equestrian portraiture for high school seniors, children and adults. We are very patient working with and posing horse and rider. Quality portraiture takes time with horses and there isn't a time constraint.

We create a variety of poses with and without your horse. High school seniors can wear multiple outfits for senior portraits at your stable. High school seniors can view additional information lower in this blog.

Your portrait session is complimentary when included with a package. We also offer canvas wall portraits, portrait albums and video slide shows.

A slide show with your horse can include riding shots, standing poses, individual portraits of the rider and individual portraits of your horse.
